I wonder if anyone can identify the Sturmgeschütz Abteilungen that used this T-34-76? Any idea if it from the summer of 1941 or 1942?

Thanks, Chris.

Chances are that seller is not legit since he/she is using another member's auction photo complete with original watermark: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Foto-russischer- ... 7675.l2557

Lol, yes, I saw the other listing last night, but didn't make the connection. I think the photo is only interesting because of camo pattern. I have been around for long enough to see a ton of photos being sold by people who don't own rights to the image, but never someone trying to sell an image being auctioned by someone else at the same time.

Hi,

here an interesting pic of a captured ZiS vehicle, but I cannot ID this type. The superstructure is similar to the type ZiS 8. Maybe one of You know more about this vehicle.

Regards

Bert

Hi Bert,
Probably this is an ex-firefighters' vehicle, the body is similar to ASO bodies (mobile generator-searchlight).
Here is one, still on old AMO-4 chassis, later ZiS-11 LWB chassis were used (same wheelbase as on ZiS-8 bus but with power take-off):

However, I have a feeling the van on your picture is based on ZiS-5 chassis.
