Does anyone know the fate of Generale di Corpo d’Armata Federico Ferrari Orsi, the commanding general of the Italian X Corps in North Africa? I believe he was killed by a mine in October 1942, but I'm not certain of the exact date and circumstances. Thanks for any assistance!

Regards,
Shawn

Gen. Federico Ferrari Orsi died on a mine during a patrol in the area of Deir el Munassib on 18 Oct. 1942. He was awarded the Medaglia d'Oro al Valor Militare: http://www.quirinale.it/onorificenze/De ... rato=45453.
