Musee des Blindes

#197

Post by Larry Hayward » 11 Jul 2011, 00:43

Evening folks

Can anyone provide a list of the vehicles that the Musee Des Blindes in Saumur has in its reserve collection - especially vehicles up to and including WW2 ?

The museum web site lists the vehicles on show in the main museum (which I have visited and recommend) but doesn't list the reserve collection.

I appreciate that the museum has rows and rows of AMX types stockpiled outside but I would love to know what other types they have inside their workshops especially the ones that are working or nearing completion.

Thanks in advance

Inspiring news from Bulgaria!
A brand new military museum is about to be opened really soon. A dozen of Panzers, dug from the Southern border after several decades of rotting in the ground, is almost ready to be exhibited in the Museum of Battle Glory - Yambol.

Here are some photos from the restoration. You can see Panzer IV, Jagdpanzer IV and StuG III G:

Please put our museum on the list, "Rogaland Krigshistoriske Museum" in Norway.
http://krigshistorisk-museum.no/index.php/en/

We have a good collection of Wehrmacht items, we have listed most vehicles and cannons on the Norwegian part of the website. Please be aware that not everything on the list is complete or in the exhibition.
