Hi Max,

what an interesting pic! That´s a good axample for the propaganda in the use of the "help train". The pic was taken in Paris in front of the church Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre. Here the text as far as I could decipher, but I´m not sure in all:
"N.S.D.A.P. Veranstaltung" - "Event of the N.S.D.A.P. (the abbreviation for "National Socialist German Workers Party")
"Hilfszug Bayern" - "Help train Bavaria"
"Ternin (?) des cuisines motorisées" - "Date of the motorized kitchens"
"Ravitaillement pour civils réfugiés" - "Food supply for civil refugees"
"et les prisonniers de guerre" - "and prisoners of war"

Best regards

Bert

Hi Bert,
Thanks very much.
I was thinking maybe: "Train des cuisines motorisées" - "Train of motorized kitchens"?
Cheers,
Max

Hi Jose,

first I want to thank You for posting the pics of the Opel Blitz trucks with a non-standard box body.
You are right. The vehicle on the pic You posted last is a Büssing-NAG. Here it is the type ES (Eilschlepper - fast tractor) with a prolonged wheelbase and a platform superstructure. Here a pic of such a vehicle (out of a sales broschure).

Regards

Bert

Hi Bert,

sorry, but we cannot say Büssing-NAG 500 type ES. The tractor ES had the diesel engine type GD 4 with 4 cylinders and 85 hp, the truck had the diesel engine type LD with six cylinders and 105 hp.

Regards

Bert
