I believe these photos were taken at the Schauinsland Mountain Hill Climb in 1937. I have been able to ID the cars but not the drivers.

Krupp Protze Kfz.21

It looks more like a command car for High officiers.

A very rare SdKfz 6 halftrack with closed cab and open cargo body.
Any information about it?
It is a Reichspost version

Re: ► Soft Skinned Vehicles
Hi Bert,
an interesting question about entry 2371 on page 159 posted by Jose85.
In the book "Kraftfahrzeuge und Panzer der Reichswehr, Wehrmacht und Bundeswehr" by Werner Oswald there is the following information:
" Auf der Wiener Frühjahrsmesse 1940 zeigte die Krupp Lastwagen fabrik ein Cabriolet (Karosserie Hebmüller) auf dem Sechsradfahrgestell des Geländeawagens L 2 H 143 ("Krupp-Protze"). Es wurden wohl nur wenige Exemplare dieses Modells hergestellt und höheren Befehlshabern überlassen. Generäle unter sich bezeichneten Automobile dieser Art als "Plutokratenkübel". "
I hope You can understand this.
Regards
Your name-sake Bert

Re: ► Soft Skinned Vehicles
Bert,
Thanks for your reply on this vehicle now it has a name and a small story.
Have to look in my files I expect that I have more pictures of this vehicle but in the large file that needs to be sorted out.
Intresting that they did use the chassis for this kubel, but on the othere hand we Dutch made a panserwagen on it
Gruss

Hi Armin,
thank You very much for posting these pics of rare variants of Sd.Kfz. 6. The vehicle on the second pic is a snow blower (Schneeschleuder). Here another pic of this test vehicle.

Hi Max and Bert.
There was a later model of the Krupp Kfz21, with a sloped bonnet, more like the "Protze". Here are a couple of shots.
Cheers,
Kerry.
