Hello all.
I found in a Russian book a picture of Swiss infantry gun M1935 that shows a strange way of horse towing:

Do anybody knows if any other modifications were towed without any limbers?
With best regards, Ilya.

No way! Firstly, where are not a soldiers of the Lithuanian Army. They could be Latvians. The Latvian Army had 96 and the Estonian Army had 4 47 mm Böhler AT guns.
Lithuanian Army did not use 47 mm Böhler AT guns, not at all.

And for eliminating Lithuanians as the Böhler users at all :)
The Lithuanian Army wanted only one AT gun - 47 mm Schneider.

Why, other than the hoto caption, would you say that these men are Mountain Troops ? None of them are wearing Mountain Troops headgear. Not that I can do any better with the towing vehicle, unless it is an Austrian ADMK ?

Hi
This photo and massage is from the page 41 of the Reinhard Frank's book „German Light Half-Tracked Prime Movers 1934-45” (Schiffer Military History) (see Attachments No 1). After 1938 most of the ex Austrian ADMK vehicle (about 300) send to the mountain troops.

In the OSPREY publication „German Mountain & Ski Troops 1939-45” (Osprey - Elite 063) on page number 30 is the a note about German plan used 1st Gebrigs-Division in Operation Sealion (see Attachments No 2).

…. conclusion: I'm no uniforms expert, Mr. Frank may be incorrectly signed photograph, I don't know...

Who used ADMK + 4,7cm Bohler gun in 1940 (1939-1941?) (only Mountain troops ?) I do't know... but the image is very interesting for me

Regards

Stan

Sadly it is never a good idea to base an identification on a photograph's caption, if you read the text on uniforms in the Osprey Elite book you'll find that none of those soldiers belongs 1. Gebirges-Division, none of them is wearing any item of Mountain Troops uniform, the two most obvious things being the hat and right sleeve.
