the 47mm Breda tended to not have the gun shield,im assuming this was too make it more transportable.

Jos's pic of the Boehler with shield shows s version I have never seen. The shield is different. The street may be Dutch (windows). Could this be the rare Hembrug 47mm PAK, less than a 100 built in 1940/41 under German supervision?

Towing vehicle? Low rear and all terrain tyres suggest ex-Belgian Ford/Marmon-Herrington at tractor
Re: 47mm Böhler anti-tank gun
Hi
I had the same idea for the towing vehicle but this would not fit with the Dutch 4.7 cm Pak ,
but your option of the shield that this is one of the 100 built in 1940/41 under German supervision
sounds very logical ( the photo's I have seen from the pre-war Dutch shield are very different )

Re: 47mm Böhler anti-tank gun
Good morning to everybody, here a photo of a coastal posting for 47/32 gun, built in 1942 by the Italian army to defend a road to Cagliari.
The gun was simply climbed on, after having removed the wheels, on 3 niches in the walls: one for the support plate, two for the gun carriage.
A 47/32 from the Artillery Museum in Turin

Hi Assfort the middle picure you posted looksa bit like a wooden Dutch design to house the 4.7 Böhlerpak (the Dutch named it a 4.7.cm PAG).
In 1940 a bunkerdesign was made by the Dutch Army for the 4.7cm PAG, it was a 40 ton turret in a "small" concrete block that could house the 4.7cm two examples of this turret survive today (both are in museums), because the design came to late for the war, the turrets were used in the Cold war to house the guards that were to defend the entrance of a German WWII bunkercomplex that was used in the Cold war as a Airforce HQ.
Because the fact that the turrets were to late they also made wooden casemates, at least at the bridgehead Moerdijk.
When the Fallschirmjäger landed at Dordrecht (Moerdijk is near Dordrecht, about 3/4 KM away) the casemates were aimed wrongly, the 4.7cm's were mobile (in the turrets wich were to be made in the New Dutch Waterline to the 4.7cm PAG was also still a mobile gun and not used as a true immobile fortressweapon) so they could have been used against the FJ, alass i never read they did at Moerdijk but at Dordrecht the 4.7cm PAG was deployed against the FJ.
Greetings Jack.
