a rare and very interesting image. A great platform for a small gun.
The pivot of rotation seems made of concrete and the support dish seems directly supported to the plinth.

In the 1942 technical sketches, the gun was drawn to have a wood loom hooked to an iron rod for a faster rotation.
The diameter is of 3,80 meters

In Sardinia and Sicily there are a lot of platforms as this, some however are greater, for guns from 75 or 100 millimeters.

Thanks Karlik, for those pics.
Note there are three different set of wheels and the first pic show the turnhandles made in a simplified way. That may be a late production model or a minor difference added from one of the co-producing Italian companies.
Have you seen these guns in person? There may have been interesting clues on their bakcground engraved in the breechblocks.

I think the difference between the M35 and M39 is the barrel. The later model as an extra jacket. Note the M39 has two instead of just the heavy rear jacket. You can see it halve way the thinner part of the barrel.

The Model 39 also had suspension modifications (silent-blocks)added to the half-leaf,
but still not made it suitable for towing with vehicles.

It is not easy today to find 47/32 guns , despite the Italian industries have produced thousands of guns.
Fortunately, many years ago several guns were given to "complete" the monuments to the Soldiers killed in war.
Throughout the war, the Italian Army study for improvements to the gun, both with new carriages, and with shields, both with stretched barrel.
After the war, as happened in Switzerland, also in Italy the gun carriage and breech were used to realize the cannone da 75/21 for "fixed-installation", which remained in fortification use until the 70s.

A nice contrast , a horse-drawn 4.7 cm PaK gun or was it also used as
"infanterie kanone" . Does anyone know from which army the troops are ??

Hi Jos

They appear to be Hungarian mountain troops. The feather plume on the side of their caps is quite a distictive feature of these units.
