Do you know where this town is ?

Hello,

I am very eager to learn about a city where some family of mine once lived. I don't know the spelling but the way it sounds is: Lehrpritzahl or Ley-a-prit-zall

It is not a city today, as after the war the name was changed said my Grandfather many years ago. All that I know is that it is in Northern Germany, and there might have been either/both a salt mine and a castle.

Please - Get out your maps from the period, check them, let me know, do anything.

I really do want to know where exactly this location is.

I would be ever so greatful.

I would also appreciate the correct spelling.

Thank you very much.

Perry-Castañeda Library Map Collection

Maps and Plans from Baedeker's Northern Germany (1910)

http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/historic ... _1910.html

Try there. I wish you can find your ancestor's hometown in those maps. :)
