Polish Uniform Portraits and ID

#1

Post by sylvieK4 » 15 Jul 2002, 19:41

Does anyone have any photographs of Polish army soliders in the late 1930s (particularly 1938 and 1939) ? I would like to see good, detailed photos of Polish soldiers and officers in uniform from the period.

Formal portraits or candid shots; parade uniforms or combat fatigues..

Thanks for your help!

Is that a completely modern style of uniform?

Do you have any photos contemporary to the Second World War era?

I am also having trouble finding clear pictures of the unique multi-corner visor caps worn by Polish soldiers and officers during the 1930s, so any photos with those in wear would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Okay, but that appears to be British Commonwealth style - Polish exiles, maybe. Like this:

But what I am looking for is Poles, in the Polish Army, in Poland before the onset of the Second World War.

Since my first post, I found a few examples. If anyone has anything like these or similar, I would appreciate very much to see.

Thank you, Marcus, for that great portrait. The site you listed had a lot of interesting links, too.
