Dear all

i have some questions about this man:

does anybody knows until when he was Oberbürgermeister von Nürnberg and until when he was member of the Volksgerichtshof ?

Does anydoy has his NSDAP-Number and the day when he got his golden party badge ?

any inofrmation would be highly appriciated.

found another picture of Liebel, without the Red Cross Award, but with the Knights Cross of the War Merit Cross with Swords an the Red Cross Breastcross.

Hi Koj,

Very nice picture of Liebel wearing the '44 pattern collar patches. Can you please tell me if this is a original photo or a picture coming from a magazine? I would like to know if you can see much detail of the tresse around his kepi.

I just found this forum a few days ago. I am an amateur researcher and have particular interest in history of the Nuremberg, Germany area from 1900 – 1946. I am particularly interested in the History and documentation and photos related to Willy Liebel. Oberbürgermeister Willy Liebel is my Great Grand Father and I am very interested in finding out as much as possible. I moved to the United States in 1986 and live outside Washington DC.

P.S. I have a photograph of Willy Liebel form 1897/98. I will upload it soon, right now the image file is too large.

It is very interessting that Willy Liebel is your great grand father.
The photo of Liebel from 1897/1898 would be very interessting. :)
