No. Her father and mother were both anti-nazi. Her father often said that Hitler would drag Germany down into the abyss if he were elected to office which of course is exactly what happened. Her parents sent their oldest daughter Ilse to meet with Eva when she was at the Berghof to try and talk Eva into coming back home but Eva refused. Later, their youngest daughter Gretl, went to stay with Eva (or visited her often) and she ended up marrying Hermann Fegelein an officer in the S.S. That had to hurt the parents like hell.

Just recieved a DVD I bought from Amazon.com called "Eva Braun, Hitler's Mistress" and it had a lot of info in it that some of the others didn't have. The color wasn't all that great due to the age of the origional film but it was entertaining and informative anyway. For two or three dollars you can buy it at:

This photo was taken at the party after the wedding of EB's sister Gretl to Hermann Fegelein, 3 June 1944. There was more than one party - part of it was at the Kehlsteinhaus (Eagles Nest), and a less formal (= more drinks) party at Bormann's house on the Obersalzberg. I believe the photos in this series (EB and others with the musicians, and drinking) were taken at Bormann's house.

And this trivia quiz page also says that Gretl (spelling the name "Gretle") was 16 when she married Fegelein.
I can't really take any webpage like this seriously.

Eva used the spelling "Gretel" when referring to her in her will.

Welcome, Hermundson, to AHF!
:welcome:

It's curious - in EB's photo albums, she spells the name both Gretl and Greta. In EB's last letter to Herta Schneider, she spells the name Gretl. On Gretl's stationery it is spelled Gretl. But it's on a piece of Gretl's stationery that EB spelled it Gretel. (These are shown in Nerin Gun's biography of EB.)

I am an amateur astrologer..it's my hobby. I have an archive of 3rd Reich personalities' horoscopes. I don't have Eva Braun's birth timing. I have her other birth data like year, month and place. Her horoscope would make for a most fascinating study. Can someone help out please with her authentic time of birth.

Thanks in anticipation.

My pleasure. If there is someplace in this forum that would be appropriate for it (?), I would be interested in reading what you find when you apply astrology to TR personalities like Braun. I am not a firm believer in such things but sometimes the results can be quite uncanny.

Sure. I would be most happy to share and discuss astrological analyses on Eva Braun and other 3rd Reich personalities. I have an archive of horoscopes of many interesting Military and political leaders of the 3rd Reich...including Hitler of course.

I had started a thread on this subject long back : http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 2&t=212401

Maybe we can meet there and discuss. I would be happy to answer your queries there.
