I think that depends on when. In the Aegean in 1943 they used MFPs (Marinefährprahme or F-Leichter) and Siebelfähren for this task (Rogers 'Churchill's Folly').

During the planning for Sealion, and at Crete, they do not have seemed to have anything in that line of work, although in the latter case they may simply not have been on hand when needed.

Any detailed photos?, I searched on internet but I got some "recognition" drawings.

There are some pictures in Roger's book. If I remember it in four or five weeks, when my scanner is connected again, I'll scan them. ;)

Otherwise I am afraid you have to hope for a naval grog with a burning passion for the lesser spotted MFP to stop by. :)

Great link Erik. If you can get it, there is a 'Wehrmacht im Kampf' book called 'Kampf um die Baltischen Inseln 1917-44', or something along those lines. Very good, because (unusually for this series) it makes good use of Soviet sources.

As I recalled that some Kriegsmarine landing vessels experimented with having rocket launchers fitted during WWII. These rocket mounted vessels saw action late during WWII mainly in the Baltic Sea area.
