A Knights-Cross and oakleave owner whos still living is Major Alois Eisele, a well-know man from my familie and First Knights-cross owner from our village (2.000 peoples in 1939)

The second Knights-cross owner from our village was Willi Hägele, a friend of my grandfather

Henry, I splitted this from the Knight's cross holders identification since that thread is for identification of unidentified Knight's cross holders. :)

By the way, what village is it, Göppingen?

Not completely, its Salach, Göppingen is our district town.

Before and during the war, Alois Eisele was awarded after war from our Local council for his breavary, now he is living 5km away in Eislingen
