Please try the search facility above.
Alternatively, there is a biography for both men and many photos in volume 1 of my ""SS Leadership Corps" book, available through http://www.amazon.co.uk or http://www.bender-publishing.com

Hello,

Is it same Friedrich Ludwig Herbert Alpers who fought at Normandy with Fallschirmjäger troops? His photograph was published in "Der Adler" while he was interrogating the American Prisoner.

Best Regards
Tolga

Quelle est la source de cette biographie? De quel ouvrage s'agit-il?
Par avance merci.

Bonjour,

En Anglais, s'il vous plait (or something like that - haven't taken a French class since 1986).

Boy oh boy, this ALPERS bio is a real surprise. I wonder what ever induced him to go into the Luftwaffe as a Hauptmann? I might also point out a tiny error. Fernaufklärungsgruppe 4 was not formed until 19 April 1942 by renaming Gruppenfliegerstab 12 at Poltava in eastern Ukraine. And all this time I just thought he was your typical Luftwaffe reservist. We live and learn, even at my age.
