MG Asen Nikolov - Commander of the 1st Occupation Corps in Serbia 1941-44.Executed in 1945.

MG Dimitar Airianov - Commander of the Air Force 1942-44.Executed in 1950

Sorry about bringing this back up after over 4 months, but who are the generals of the Royal Bulgarian Air Force? Obviously, Dimitar Ayrianov is one of them as mentioned in the post above by Brannik. But surely, there was more than 1 RBAF general.

I have been reviewing these postings on Bulgarian generals and think I found something.
The general Murnov AJK was asking about is Markov, Georgi. 1886-1966. His assignments as CO of Army 2, And CO in Thrace seem to fit. I know it has been about 5 years, but all things come to those who wait.

Hello Dibo,
We know Russia and Bulgaria had very close ties, until the end of WW 2. I notice MG Radko Dimitriev served in the Russian army during WW !. He commanded Armies 12-20-3 and 8, and was executed by the Reds on October 1918. He is one of your ommissions.
In the next day or 2 I will have a list of more names you are missing.

Ion Arbore and Alexandru Ioanitiu (killed on 17 Sep 1941 when he walked into an aircraft propellor at Baden Airfield, Ukraine) are Romanian, not Bulgarian.

Some of the generals you mentioned are in fact promoted partisans or republican militaries (some of these made it in one night from captain to generals), after the 09.1944 coup - I intentionally omitted these as although for two-three years they served alongside the old Tzarist generals, they were entirely different stock and deserve another research.
As for the rest - I will check and come back in this thread.
