HI, I'm lloking for losslists of these units. Especially I want to know, which fighterpilot was shot down on April 3rd 1945 over Gumpoldskirchen ( south of vienna near the airport Bad Vöslau) I hound out that, that plane which was shot down, must have been a early version of the FW190 or Me 109.

Christoph :

You're best bet is to contact the BA/MA arciv's in Freiburg, Deutschland and check for the April 1945 losses listings. It should have the particulars to unit and rank of the pilot and whereabouts of the downing.
As far as i am aware there has never been a unit history developed on any of these fighter/training JG's. Why do you perhaps think it is an earlier version of the described a/c ?

Hi,
First thank you for your abswer.
To your question:
I found some ammunition at the crash place. The combination of the ammunition told me that the plan has been a early version of this two fighters.

Hello!

Try asking over at the 12 O'Clock forum, http://disc.server.com/Indices/3051.html, they speicalise in the Luftwaffe and can most probably answer your query.

Kind rgds

Christoph :

I would also like to mention this site :

http://www.stormbirds.com

when you get to the front page, scroll down and find the Luftwaffe archiv's section..... LWAG box and check it. Go through the additional pages/ of getting onto this fine board of experten. Once there on the forum, ask your question and hopefully you will receive a response as to where to find documentation.
By the way, how is the flooding in Austria ?, gone I hope...... ?!
