I believe that is Sauberzweig standing in Schwimmwagen...
I would just like someone to confirm it.

Further, that's likely Ia Erich Braun on the right.

Hi, Ivanwss

I’ve never seen this photo until now, thank you for posting.

The man on the left may be Sauberzweig’s personal orderly officer (Eggersdorfer)? :?

Who is this SS officer in center?

This is a sausage-inspection in Sarajevo, 1944.

This photo shows the Mufti Al-Husseini (on left) during one of his two visits to Handschar Division in Neuhammer (November 1943 or January 1944). So, this picture was not taken in Sarajevo. Mufti was visited Sarajevo only one time, in April 1943, but I doubt he was interested to go for visit in sausage factory.

This picture was published in book 13. SS Handzar divizija – istine i lazi, written by Zija Sulejmanpasic. He marked as source Otto Kumm's book Vorwärts Prinz Eugen!.

I don' know who is SS officer in the middle, but I hope that somebody else will know the answer.

Cheers

Yes, it is hard not to recognize Grand-mufti, but i didn't write "sausage factory"

The caption in this magazine claimed that Grand-mufti is checking if sausages for "Handschar"
are prepared in halal-way (what is "halal", i don't know...?),
and that photo was taken in Sarajevo, 1944. (their mistake)

Could this officer be Erwin Rösener, by any chance?

"Halal" in arabic means "lawful",i.e. "Halal" meat is the meat the Muslims are allowed to eat according to the Holy Kur'an (like fish, beef, sheep, etc,). Pork meat ,on the other hand,is "Haram" (unlawful) and it's consumation is forbidden.
My impression is that the Germans showed the Mufti the kitchen facilities so to prove him that religious laws are strictly adhered to in the Division.

Cheers,
