Hello!
Sorry, no again.
This ship was scuttled by her crew, while her sister was lost in action - both long time after WW2.

Best regards, Aleks

hi, Aleks,

If the boat in question is really a Räumboot, I´m interested in all the details as I couldn´t find any documentation about it.

Yes, it is really an ex-Raumboot.
Here is one more photo. Hope it helps more.
P.S. I'll be happy to give the details, but my main source web-site is in Russian. Probably, Google translator will help. :?

Best regards, Aleks

Hello!
Well, I give up.
The ship in the photo was Cypriot P-1 (ex-R-154).
Here is short google-translated abstract regaring this ship:
Help came in the person of Cypriot philanthropist Anastasia Leventis. At the end of July 1964 at his own expense, he acquired from a private person in Piraeus three old unarmed boats, minesweepers, the German construction (Räumboote) even during the Second World War and gave them as a gift armed forces of the country. True 'gift' was quite problematic. The former German raumboty ('R-154' and 'R-155' - a series of R-151, built in 1940, and the 'R-236' - a series of R-218, 1944-built) to this time not changed one owner and were in a terrible state. The most 'young' ones - the former 'R-236', was practically unsuitable for combat use and required major repairs. Worn-out mechanisms of the former. 'R-155' were not given the opportunity to develop the boat speed of over 15 knots, and the engine kept breaking. In fair condition of all was only the former. 'R-154'. Easy repairs carried out in Greece, could not eliminate all of the serious problems, but the Navy Command of Cyprus there was not a time nor a better choice. In no time boats were manned by officers and sailors of the Greek Navy and secretly transferred to Cyprus. To ensure the regime of secrecy crews were issued fake passports and boats to move themselves were no flags nationality.
4-5 August 1964, immediately upon arrival to the island, boats were enrolled in the Navy under the name 'Orion' ('Αρίων', w / o P-1), 'Phaeton' ('Φαέθων', w / o P -2) and 'Dedalos' ('Δαίδαλος'), thus becoming the first combat unit in the history of the naval forces of the country. Organizational they were kept in the squad patrol and patrol boats (PSKA, Gr. Ακταιωρός), the overall command of which was entrusted to the commander PSKA 'Phaeton' antipopliarhosa (Greek ανθυποπλοίαρχος, corresponds to the rank of lieutenant) Dimitrios Mitsatsosa. Accelerated work began to arm boats. Despite the poor choice of weapons, we had in our arsenal, boats were fairly strong arms. Their 'main battery' has become a universal 40-mm automatic Bofors Mark III L60. Issued in the years of the Second World War and has a variety of types of ammunition (in particular explosive, armor-piercing, tracer charge), vending machines of this design continued to be a formidable weapon, but because of the low rate of fire has been sufficiently effective against modern aircraft. This shortcoming was offset by the installation of two single-barreled 20-mm machine Oerlikon Mark 10, just released in the last years of World War II, but had higher than that of Bofors, rate of up to 205-320 rounds per minute, giving them only at the firing range.

The quiz is open to everyone willing.

hi,

as there is apparently nobody willing to present a question, I'll try.

Which German destroyer had a 4.1"-gun on the forecastle ?

Hello!
She was Z-31. In the beginning of 1945 her fore 150 mm. turret which was damaged in battle with British cruisers was removed and replaced with 1x1 105/45 mm gun.

hi,

a number of German E-boats were towed from Bavaria on the Danube down to the Black Sea, never to return.

One boat, however, was towed twice on the Danube upwards to Linz (Austria) to be repaired there after severe damage.

Which was it ?
