I'm afraid I'll have to disagree here... it is NOT a 37 mm PAK The "thing" outlined in red on "my" picture is something at least I haven't seen (and wouldn't expect to see) on a 37 mm PAK...

Hi Christian

It is a 7,5cm le. I.G. 18 , becauce the shield
has waves on the side and you can the projectile
in the hand of the S.S.man is 7,5 not 3,7 .
And as last the shell of the 7,5 cm is very small
as you can see on your picture.

The soldier is unmistakenly holding a 7,5 cm Infanteriegranate 18, which was shot by 7,5 cm l.I.G. 18 and l.Geb.I.G 18.

The optics fitted to the gun is a typical artillery sight, not for Pak....
It even seems to be pointing towards the guy who took the photo, which clearly indicates that they are aiming via
known spots in the terrain and not direct fire.

The grenade is definately for separate lading, The 3,7 pak had fixed rounds.

Aren't the late war 75mm infantry gun mounted on a 37 mm pak carriage? It looks a more like a leIG 18, but I am not really sure what the carriage on the leIG 37 and 42 actually look like. Do the fire the same ammunition?
