Hi Francy:
Your Luftwaffe car is a Stoewer Greif Junior 1936/7 years model.
A very rare low production car and very seldom seen in photos.
Thanks.
Bill

Stoewer Greif

Post by Keessmit » 24 Dec 2006 23:43

Another Stoewer Greif was posted a while ago on this forum (SS car color photo)
files/n_00886.jpeg
The Stoewer Greif was a license built Tatra T 75 and featured a 1.5 litre air-cooled flat four, independent springing and a central backbone chassis. Just 4000 units were built in the years 1935-1939. Still it was Stoewer's best sold model ever.
Merry Xmas

Thank you Kees:

I knew it was a bit of a rare beastie but not that rare.
Thank you also for the Tatra link, a new one for me. Lots to look at after the Christmas.
And...a very Merry Christmas to you and all.
Bill
