Re: Torpedo Bunkers in Norway
Torpedo battery Siebruniemi (Petsamo fjord)
http://www.deadpixels.ru/north/petsamof ... index.html
There are 2 bunkers. As I understand, each bunker is for 2 launching tubes. Am I right?

Re: Torpedo Bunkers in Norway
I'm not 100% certain (I have never seen photos from this site before), but if these photos are from Norway, I think it's the norwegian pre-war test-station for torpedoes at Tronvik (Jeløy) oustide Moss...jopaerya wrote:According to the photocaption from Ebay this should be in Norway .
The station was used by the germans during WW2, as well as by the Norwegian navy again after the war.
The site can be seen on current aerial photos at http://www.norgeibilder.no/ (enter the UTM-position 6590254 (nord) and 590987 (øst) at the "Geografisk søk" tab).

Re: Torpedo Bunkers in Norway
Thanks again Natter
For the 100% I.D. , here the decimal degrees for the Torpedo batterie at Vlissingen
51.438260, 3.575878 +51° 26' 17.74", +3° 34' 33.16" , when you visit the place you
can see the 2 iron curves for the torpedo batterie .
At Brest there was also a flat boat with a torpedo batterie opposite of Pointe de Cornouaille .

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean with "curve" in this context?jopaerya wrote:can see the 2 iron curves for the torpedo batterie .
Interesting. Seems the germans implemented those many places (there were several "schwimmende torpedobatterie" in Norway as well - and in Denmark as far as I know).jopaerya wrote:At Brest there was also a flat boat with a torpedo batterie opposite of Pointe de Cornouaille .
