Hi!
I am currently working on an OKH-project and therefore included such a roster for persons listed honorarily:
Generally two ways could be taken into consideration to further include a retired person in the rank lists:
1. Chef eines Regiments
2. die Uniform eines Regiments tragen
These rights were given to 3-star-Generals up only, whether with patent or only with title. The most senior 3-star-general (full patent) which is not listed in either a pre 1933 Rangliste or the 03.01.1939 Stellenbesetzung was:
Gen. d. Art. Freiherr Kreß von Kressenstein (Friedrich)
Don´t ask me why.
Berendt was not Chief of a Regiment but was only entitled to wear uniform and to be listed further.
Here is the roster. I included all persons which I found listed in either a pre 1933 rank list or in the 03.01.1939 Stellenbesetzung:
Regards!
