Many survivors of the holocaust were looking for a deeper meaning of their own survival while so many other perished.
This man lived to proof himself worthy of destiny´s decision and those who were not so lucky . He was a lone fighter for justice even during those years where it was absolutely unwanted to "stirr up the past" in austria and germany. His integrity and fighting spirit was a important starting point for the necessary morale and political hygiene considering our past.

Si monumentum requiris, circumspice.

Simon Wiesenthal

I would like to pay hommage to the indefatigable contributions Simon Wiesenthal made to our understanding of the Holocaust. When political and public opinions were against him at times he persevered in enlightening us on the dark sides of the Holocaust. For an up-to-date biography on Simon Wiesenthal (and his contributions) access this link: http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jso ... nthal.html
May he rest in peace now. jv

The newspaper stated : Allgemeines Organversagen. As my medical vocabulary in english is weak, I would translate it into "general malfunction of organs". Or as Helly said: Well man, you know...96 years....
