Re: German Colonial Uniforms Website
Hi Blitzkrieg,
Sorry for the late reply. I'm sorry I have seen a few places on the web that claim to make these things but I've never bought from them so I can't guarantee their quality or recommend them.
Cheers
Chris
In the meantime more updates on the DSWA Landespolizei, the DOA Schutztruppe, the East Asian Occupation forces and photos of more bayonets are up on the website at www.germancolonialuniforms.co.uk

Re: German Colonial Uniforms Website
My website at www.germancolonialuniforms.co.uk has been updated with new sections and photos recently. There's new articles up on the uniforms of the Kaiser's Expedition to Palestine 1898, the Caucasian Expedition 1918, the Germany Army in Macedonia 1916-18 and the Souh West African Landespolizei. There's also new photographs from the Bavarian and Austrian Army museums and several private collections showing more medals, bayonets and tropical helmets.
Cheers

Hi,
I recently added this German instruction sheet for the P37 pistol.
It is in fragile condition but I havent seen many of these.
How desirable it is this kind of stuff ?
Douglas.

Re: German Colonial Uniforms Website
Chris,
I would like to do the tan uniform with the white Pith helmet, this appears to be the most practical uniform to shoot a match in. I have ordered both "Imperial German Colonial and Overseas Troops 1885-1918" and "Unsere Marineuniform" but have not received the books at this point. Many times the drawings, photos and descriptions in these sorts of books are not detailed enough to do a complete representation. If you know of anyone making this uniform or some other uniform that would make a reasonable substitution that would be great. If not, we have a seamstress in Arizona who specializes in recreating American period uniforms, she could make me one if I could obtain detailed enough photos, drawings or descriptions.
Thanks
Steve

Re: German Colonial Uniforms Website
Would you be able to suggest any other published photos (still waiting for the books to be delivered, mail is slow this week due to the 4th of July holiday) that may help? I am on Facebook but don't use it very much. Can you point me to specific people or groups where these uniforms are located?
