Re: Pour le mérite holders
Foto 178 seems to be veterans from Freikorps Hindenburg. Clearly the man next to Hindenburg was not Paul Otto.
Thanks

#706,
given the huge ribbon bar, I am thinking possibly Karl Ritter von Prager.
Regards
Glenn

My Foto 180: Possibly Karl Hoefer. The photograph has a date from august 1916 on the back.

Unknown Pour le Merite with oakleaves recipient (possibly with Martin Bormann on the left) during a swearing-in ceremony 1940 (s. reverse).

Re: Pour le mérite holders
My Foto 181 most likely shows General der Infanterie Eduard von Liebert, first thinking he had the oak leaves, which is not the case.
