Did exist the vehicle which you can see in a photo ? Whether it can only underbody "Panzer IV" and being behind it canon "8.8 cm "? Perhaps exist some different photographs of this vehicle ?

Indeed those are the remains of a Panzer IV but the flak is behind it not on it
is just the angle of the picture makes it look like is on top of it.

I agree, the person seems too small to be on the tank.

Look at the shadows.

I have seen photos, in Chamberlain's Encyclopedia I believe, of a modified PzIV chassis (elongated) with an 88 FlaK on it. I can't recall the specifications on it, though.

Hi all,

Here is a other picture of a panzer IV with a 8,8cm flak 36 mounted on it ,the vehicle is not the same as posted by Darek.
This vehicle was found in Czechoslovakai may 1944.

The link below shows a picture of this vehicle :

The picture can be found in :

German Self-Propelled Guns: Self-propelled artillery, anti-tank and anti-aircraft guns from Concord Publications

Interesting pictures, and certainly a PZ 1V chassis. Could be a field modification or a test vehicle. The vehicle in Encyclopedia of German Tanks (3 prototypes) is the 88mm Flak auf Sonderfahrgestell.

This was a Flak 37 or a Flak 41 mounted on a revised Pz 1V chassis with adapted interleaved suspension and a revised nose. Deffinatly not what is show in the pictures. Thanks for posting.
