OK - it is the "trigger frame" on the MG34.

Another one: Why is it so important that the bolt (breech block) is in the forward position when you change barrel on the MG34?

Why did mr. Browning construct the 1919 in such a way that the bolt stops in the rearward position when you stop shooting?

And along the same line: Why was the box magazine on the Garand constructed such as to be flush with the lower part of the stock....

Dear Friends, please forgive me for having been so childish as to have put forth these questions which I understand only now that you have long time since seen through - as maskirovka and desinformatsia - and therefore levelled yourself above using time on this.

I shall (maybe) refrain from such excesses in the future now seeing that you all full well know that:

1. One cannot change barrels on the MG34 when the breech block is in the forward position.
2. That the 1919 does not fire from an "open bolt" - and is therefore rather prone to "cock-offs".
3. That the 1911 does not have a "double" trigger action.
4. And - that the Garand does not have a box magazine

Someone else better continue this question odyssee now.......
