As far as "Zinsser, H." is concerned:

Maybe the photographers mistyped his name (it wasn't for the first time). I have the following data:

Zinser, Hans-Wolfgang
Lawyer.
born: 26.02.1908
Privy Counsellor (Regierungsrat)
1934 meber of the SA.
1937 member of the NSDAP.
Kreishauptmann (??) in Galicia.
Communal expert advisor (Kommunalreferent) with the main office "Internal Administration" within the Government General
1953 judge at the Federal Administrative Court (Bundesverwaltungsgericht).
1968 preliminary proceedings were stopped.

The second of the attached pictures ("Wolff, H.") was posted by Ian on page 12 of the thread. In the internet I found a pdf-document by the State Central Office for Political Education of Thuringia called "The Secret State Police in the NS-Gau Thuringia 1933-1945" (2 Volumes). On page 265 there's the short bio of SS-Ostubaf. Hans-Helmut Wolff, the last leader of the Stapostelle Weimar and Commander of the Security Service. I think both pictures show the same man.
What do you think??

Hi Ludger,
Looks very much like him. I'd say it was the same man. Many thanks. Anyone else?

Judging from the obvious facial features and from the distinct scar, I'd go with Ian and say that's the man.

Thanks Grisu.
Here are three more Nuremberg photos. For the first time they include a bit of background. Most of the photos in this thread have backgrounds but the photographers edited it out since they were only interested in getting 'mug shots'. Anyway I thought some of you might be interested.
Any info on these three appreciated as usual.
Ian

This mystery man was previously posted on the forum in an attempt to establish his identity, without success. Any suggestions? He appears to have a prominent "Roman" nose. The photo was taken in the months following the collapse of the Third Reich and his diet has probably resulted in weight loss.

He seems familiar but I just can't place him at the moment. I'll have a think about it.

On Erich Müller: There was one SS-Standartenführer called Erich Müller, born in 1902 (Leiter der Personalabteilung (head of staff department) des Reichsministeriums für Volkaufklärung und Propaganda, during the war on the Eastern front, awarded the KVK I with swords). Maybe someone in the SS-section of the forum can provide you with further info (and a picture)?

Source for the biographical fragment on Müller:

What about posting the picture and the two short pieces of information in the SS-section and see what the users think about it? Phil, can't you simply move the corresponding postings over there?

Any ideas who this one is? Taken in his cell, but subsequently released through lack of evidence.
